Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the impact of a proposed rehabilitative exercise program on restoring functional efficiency, specifically muscle strength and range of motion (ROM), in athletes following ACL reconstruction surgery. The researcher employed an experimental methodology on a purposive sample of (5) athletes at the Rehabilitation Center in Bani Walid. The 8-week program consisted of two phases, incorporating resistance, flexibility, and balance exercises, alongside ultrasound and CPM therapy. Data were collected using a goniometer and muscle strength tests. Results indicated statistically significant differences between pre- and post-measurements in favor of the post-test, with significance levels of (0.042) for ROM and (0.038) for muscle strength. The researcher concluded that the program is highly effective in restoring normal joint function, enhancing motor capabilities, and preventing re-injury
