The effectiveness of therapeutic synergy between therapeutic exercises and cryoablation in promoting recovery after biceps femoris muscle tear in football players
Abstract
This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a proposed treatment program based on the synergy (integration) of therapeutic exercises and cryoablation in treating biceps femoris (knee extensor muscle) tears in football players. An experimental design with a single group and pre- and post-testing was used on a purposive sample of eight football players with grade 1 and 2 tears. The treatment program was implemented for six weeks, with three sessions per week. Measurement tools included a visual analog scale (VAS) to measure pain, a goniometer to measure range of motion, a dynamometer to measure muscle strength, and functional testing. The results showed differences between the pre- and post-tests for the research group in the study variables (pain, range of motion, muscle strength, and functional performance), favoring the post-test. The synergy between therapeutic exercises and cryoablation had a significant positive effect on accelerating recovery and the players' return to play. For sports.
