The effect of therapeutic exercises according to the Karvonen equation for the rehabilitation of female employees suffering from chronic lower back pain

Abstract

The study aims to identify the effect of therapeutic exercises according to the Karvonen equation on the rehabilitation of female employees suffering from lower back pain. The researcher used the experimental method with a single experimental group design and pre- and post-measurement for the same group. The research sample was chosen purposively and consisted of (10) participants. Of the female employees in the General Administration of the Zawiya Refinery, who suffer from lower back pain, their ages range between (45-50) years, representing (30.30%) of the community size, after conducting the pre-tests, and applying the rehabilitation program over (12) weeks at a rate of (3) units per week, and completing the post-tests, and collecting the results and processing them statistically, ((for the arithmetic mean, median, standard deviation, skewness coefficient, test (Test) For the related samples, the researcher came up with several conclusions, including that the electrical stimulation program and therapeutic exercises prepared according to the Karvonen equation had a positive effect on weight and body mass index, spinal flexibility, muscular strength of the muscles working on the spine, muscular endurance of the muscles working on the spine, and the degree of lower back pain for female employees suffering from lower back pain in the angle filter.
