Abstract

The research aims to identify the effect of the proposed physical therapy method, which is (therapeutic exercises) to delay the symptoms of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The researchers used the experimental method for one group (pre- and post-measurement), on a sample of (10) male children who were chosen intentionally, and their average age was (9) years. The sample was pre-measured as follows: The research was done using (visual analogue scale - muscle strength - range of motor). The program continued for (12) weeks. The duration of the program was divided into (3) stages, each stage (4) weeks was allocated days (Sunday - Tuesday - Thursday). Post-measurements were taken in the same conditions and timing as the pre-measurements. The most important results were: The program under research had a positive impact on increasing the percentage of improvement in the variables under study, which are: (degree of pain - range of motor - muscle strength). The researchers recommended that physical therapists should be guided by the results of the program for pediatric patients with muscular dystrophy (Duchenne).
