Abstract

This study evaluates the operational effectiveness of cogged V-belts and their impact on the performance quality of workshop machine tools, particularly the lathe, milling machine, and drilling machine. The analysis considers transmitted power, rotational speed, pulley diameters, center distance, and operating hours. The design calculations were compared with the physical belt arrangements. The results indicate agreement between the design requirements and the belt configurations used on the investigated machines, while cogged V-belts provide improved flexibility and heat dissipation and are suitable for high-load and high-speed operation.
