Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become one of the cutting-edge technologies in various fields, especially in scientific research and higher education, necessitating the adoption of strategic initiatives to support its utilization for improving the teaching and learning process and enhancing its efficiency The study aimed to shed light on the attitudes of faculty members in higher education toward AI and its applications, explore the influencing factors, and identify the main challenges facing faculty members when utilizing AI, while providing recommendations for its enhanced implementation in teaching, non-traditional educational methods, and practical data analysis tools The results showed a strong positive tendency among faculty members towards the use of AI in teaching The highest manifestations of agreement came in the statements reflecting the immediate practical benefit, 842% of participants agreeing that AI helps save time and effort, and 789% agreeing to pilot new AI tools and follow global developments and trends Furthermore,763% of them strongly believe that AI contributes to improving the quality of their teaching, yielding highly significant results In contrast, a slight weakness in AI knowledge was noted in some responses, with only 736% indicating possession of basic knowledge about AI Additionally, the desire for continued learning about AI showed a relative decrease, as only 447% expressed a willingness to receive training on AI teaching techniques Regarding the concerns about reducing the role of faculty members, only 289% expressed minor worries In conclusion, it appears evident that integrating AI represents a smooth and viable platform Faculty members clearly recognize that offering robust training, providing the necessary infrastructure, and dedicating budgets for developing curricula and strategic plans are crucial pillars for effective institutional decisions to adopt AI, which is, in turn, a key to the success of digital transformation in medical education
